How to Find La Iguana Golf Course
As with most international arrivals, you’ll likely start your journey from San Jose International Airport and wind your way through the vast central jungles to the West Coast of Costa Rica and the Pacific Ocean town of Jaco. Jaco is a favorite among surfers and national park lovers alike.
La Iguana is located near Herradura Beach, just a 10-minute drive from the town of Jaco.

Skill Level of La Iguana Golf Course
It’s a fun course to play. No matter your skill level - even for beginner golfers just looking for a good time on the greens.
Skilled golfers should note that the La Iguana Golf Club has a 4-course rating, par 72, and a slope of 145. If that means nothing to you, don’t fret.
Newer golfers will find that while many of the holes are quite challenging naturally due to the terrain and sheer number of water features worked into the course, you can also utilize the putting green or driving range to work on your skills before hitting the fairways.
The front nine is designed to welcome inexperienced golfers onto the course (and offers some of the most scenic views) so you can enjoy your day with a beer in hand, even if you’re new to the sport.
